Author Guidelines

Instructions for Authors

Please review these instructions carefully before submitting your manuscript to GJPSR. Following these guidelines ensures a smooth editorial and peer-review process.

The Global Journal of Pharmaceutical and Scientific Research (GJPSR) welcomes original, scientifically sound, and ethically conducted scholarly contributions within the scope of the journal. Authors are requested to carefully follow these Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript.

Submission of a manuscript implies that the work is original, has not been published previously, and is not simultaneously under consideration for publication elsewhere, except where explicitly disclosed to the Editorial Office.

All manuscripts are subject to editorial assessment and, where appropriate, double-blind peer review.

01

Scope of the Journal

GJPSR publishes scholarly work in pharmaceutical sciences, medical and health sciences, nursing, paramedical sciences, biochemistry, biotechnology, environmental sciences, life sciences, and related interdisciplinary areas. The journal considers:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses
  • Short Communications
  • Brief Research Reports
  • Case Reports, where appropriate to the journal's scope

Authors should ensure that their manuscript has clear relevance to the journal's stated scope.

02

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Ensuring that all authors have approved the submitted manuscript.

  • Name of the ethics committee/institutional review board.
  • Approval or reference number.
  • Date of approval, where available.
  • Relevant informed-consent information.

Animal studies should follow applicable institutional, national, and international standards for animal welfare.

The absence of required ethical approval may result in rejection of the manuscript.

The Results section should present the findings clearly and objectively. Authors should:

  • Present results in a logical sequence.
  • Avoid unnecessary repetition of information contained in tables and figures.
  • Provide appropriate statistical analysis.

  • Statistical test used.
  • Sample size.
  • Significance level.
  • Measures of variability or uncertainty.

  • Plagiarized material.
  • Fabricated or falsified data.
  • Duplicate publication.
  • Redundant publication.
  • Improperly reproduced copyrighted material.

The journal may use similarity-detection tools as part of its editorial assessment.

A similarity score alone does not automatically establish misconduct; the Editorial Office may assess the nature, extent, source, and context of detected overlap.

24

Previously Published Material

Authors must disclose any substantial overlap between the submitted manuscript and:

  • Previously published articles.
  • Articles under consideration elsewhere.
  • Conference publications.
  • Preprints.

Where relevant, appropriate citation and disclosure should be provided.

25

Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools

Authors may use generative AI or other automated tools for appropriate purposes such as language improvement, formatting assistance, or limited editorial support, provided that their use does not compromise the accuracy, originality, confidentiality, or integrity of the manuscript.

AI tools must not be listed as authors.

Authors remain fully responsible for:

  • The accuracy of the submitted content.
  • Verification of references and factual claims.
  • Originality of the manuscript.
  • Appropriate disclosure of AI use where required.
  • Protection of confidential or unpublished information.

Authors should not use AI tools to fabricate data, references, results, images, or other research content.

26

Copyright and Licensing

Authors should review the journal's Copyright and Licensing Policy before submission.

Copyright, publication rights, and permitted reuse of the published article will be governed by the applicable publication agreement and licensing terms.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted third-party material when required.

27

Article Processing Charges

Any applicable Article Processing Charge (APC) is governed by the journal's APC Policy.

Where an APC applies, the applicable charge and payment conditions should be clearly communicated to authors.

Editorial decisions are independent of APC payment. Payment of an APC does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

28

Manuscript Revision

When revisions are requested, authors should:

  • Submit a revised manuscript within the specified period.
  • Clearly indicate changes made in response to reviewer comments.
  • Provide a point-by-point response to reviewer comments.
  • Explain scientifically justified disagreements with reviewer suggestions.

The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by the editor, depending on the nature of the revisions.

29

Editorial Decisions

Possible editorial decisions include:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

The decision is based on factors including scientific quality, originality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, relevance to the journal, clarity of presentation, and reviewer and editorial assessments.

The journal does not guarantee acceptance or publication within a specified period.

30

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal an editorial decision when they believe that a significant factual, procedural, or interpretive issue affected the decision.

Appeals should provide a clear explanation and supporting evidence where applicable.

Authors may also submit complaints regarding editorial or publication processes. Complaints and appeals are handled according to the journal's applicable policies.

31

Corrections, Retractions and Expressions of Concern

GJPSR maintains the integrity of the published scholarly record. When necessary, the journal may publish:

  • Corrections or corrigenda.
  • Errata.
  • Expressions of Concern.
  • Retractions.

Such actions are considered based on the nature and reliability of the evidence and the potential effect on the integrity of the published record.

Further details are provided in the journal's Retraction and Correction Policy.

32

Preprints

Authors should disclose whether a manuscript or substantially similar version has previously appeared as a preprint.

Where preprints are permitted, authors should provide the relevant citation or DOI during submission.

The existence of a preprint does not replace the journal's peer-review process.

33

Reporting Guidelines

Authors are encouraged to follow appropriate reporting guidelines relevant to their study design. Examples include:

  • CONSORT – Randomized controlled trials
  • STROBE – Observational studies
  • PRISMA – Systematic reviews and meta-analyses
